My critique: the cord attached to the base does not sit right. It comes up from underneath and is supposed to go through a spot that it will not fit through without damaging the plastic on the chord. So my kettle sits slightly lopsided. Also, there was a strong chemical smell in the packaging that was alarming. Luckily, the kettle once removed did not have that odor. The packaging was strange. It was in a white box with nothing on it. And the instruction book was pretty vague about the kettle in my opinion. It makes a perfect cup of tea, so i don't care. I have used this product 1 to 5 times daily for one month so far-- it still looks and functions like it is brand new. I will update later if anything changes. .
